Vita Dr. phil. Klaus Witt
Dr. Klaus Witt, born 1958, married since 84, two daughters born 86 and 88.
After my apprenticeship at Lufthansa to become an electronics engineer I did my civil service by assisting mentally handicapped children. I became part of a care, research and therapy team and got my first behavior therapy training. I learned a lot about possibilities and borders of psychological treatment and changed my vocational adjustment.I started with social work at the University of Applied Science and studied psychology at the University of Hamburg.
During this time I supported my family financially with an independent business activity. First I founded the Witt and Petri oHG, a surf and watersport shop, and later with the PEWI GmbH and Pewi-Ruegen GmbH by sellig engines, workboats and yachts.
After University I sold the business shares to my partners and created 1991 the Witt Coaching company. Until 1997 I worked predominantly as a freelancer as a high-level personnel coach, team developer, sales trainer and management consultant. My clients were German Unilever, Schleswag, Schneider, Globetrotter and Pegro, to name only a few.
I learned behavior therapy, client-centered therapy, body work and last but not least NLP (neurolinguistic programming) which influenced and supported me mostly.
In 1997 and 1998 I did psychosomatic research about the first so-called mental allergy treatment. A method to treat allergies very successfully with NLP.
In the working group around Prof. Dr. Gerhart Unterberger we also created the Hildesheim health training (HHT) and I developed my techniques and experiences in further research projects against cancer, pain and high blood pressure.
Since 1999 I have been established as a Psychotherapiest in Bargteheide and from 2004 in a joint practice with my colleague Birgit Bader, in order to achieve more time for external projects, coaching, business and education tasks.
I am also engaged with the German Federation for Neuro-Linguistic Programming (DVNLP) and internationally in a European Partnership Project.
